Day 3. Belfast Northern Ireland Sunday 1st July 2012

We attended Mass this morning at St Malachys Catholic Church in Belfast which was absolutely beautiful. This amazing church was built in 1840 and is in the centre of Belfast not far from Dunville's Whisky Factory. When the bells were installed at the church they were so loud that the vibrations were affecting the whisky in the barrels so the bells had to be removed! I wonder if our Henry knew this story when he took on the agency for Dunville's whisky all those years later in Melbourne in the 1870's. I lit a candle for all our relatives who have worshipped in this same church down through the years and for all of us today.
